To help ensure a safe, secure, and efficient experience for all attendees, Volunteer Valley Comic Con (V2C2) will be implementing a Clear Bag Policy for the 2026 event.
Permitted Bags
Guests may bring:
Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
One-gallon clear plastic freezer/storage bags
Small clutch purses or wallets no larger than 4.5" x 6.5"
Medically necessary bags (subject to inspection)
Diaper bags (subject to inspection)
Prohibited Bags
The following items will not be permitted:
Backpacks
Large purses
Drawstring bags
Duffel bags
Tote bags that are not clear
Camera bags
Luggage or rolling bags
Any bag that does not meet the clear bag requirements listed above
Additional Information
All bags are subject to inspection upon entry.
Guests who arrive with prohibited bags may be required to return them to their vehicle before entering the event.
V2C2 reserves the right to deny entry to any item deemed unsafe or prohibited.

Cosplay is one of the best parts of V2C2, and we welcome attendees of all ages to celebrate their favorite characters, fandoms, and original creations.
As a family-friendly event, all costumes must be appropriate for a general audience and comply with the following guidelines.
Family-Friendly Attire
Costumes must provide adequate coverage and be suitable for an event attended by guests of all ages.
The following are not permitted:
Excessively revealing costumes
Costumes that expose intimate body areas
Clothing or costumes that may be considered indecent or inappropriate for a family-friendly environment
Transparent or see-through materials that expose areas that would otherwise be required to be covered
Clothing that could reasonably be considered public nudity
V2C2 staff reserve the right to determine whether a costume meets event standards.
Prohibited Content
Costumes, clothing, props, signs, and accessories may not contain:
Explicit sexual imagery or content
Graphic depictions of sexual acts
Obscene language or imagery
Hate symbols or discriminatory content
Content intended to harass, intimidate, or target individuals or groups
Illegal or otherwise prohibited material
Footwear Requirement
Attendees must wear footwear at all times while inside the convention venue unless participating in an approved cosplay performance or receiving prior approval from event staff.
Costume Safety
Costumes must allow the wearer to:
Safely navigate convention spaces
Maintain awareness of their surroundings
Follow instructions from event staff and security
Oversized costumes may be restricted in crowded areas if they create safety concerns or obstruct walkways.
Masks and Face Coverings
Masks and helmets are permitted as part of a costume.
Attendees may be asked to briefly remove masks or helmets for identification, security checks, or event-related purposes.
Cosplay Is Not Consent
Please remember:
Cosplay is not consent.
Attendees must obtain permission before:
Taking close-up photographs
Touching costumes or props
Making physical contact with another guest
Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
Weapons and Props
All costume weapons and props must comply with the V2C2 Weapons & Props Policy and are subject to inspection upon entry.
Final Determination
V2C2 staff and security personnel reserve the right to make the final determination regarding any costume, prop, or accessory. Guests may be asked to modify a costume, cover certain elements, remove prohibited items, or leave the event if they fail to comply with event policies.
Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment where fans of all ages can enjoy V2C2 together.

The safety of our guests, vendors, exhibitors, celebrities, and staff is our top priority. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, all weapons and props are subject to inspection by V2C2 staff and security personnel.
V2C2 reserves the right to prohibit any item deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.
Prohibited Items
The following items are NOT permitted inside the event:
Firearms of any kind, including concealed carry firearms
Ammunition
Explosives or incendiary devices
Fireworks
BB guns, pellet guns, airsoft guns, or paintball markers
Functional bows, crossbows, or slingshots
Live steel swords, knives, axes, or other bladed weapons
Brass knuckles
Batons, clubs, or similar impact weapons
Tasers or stun guns
Chemical sprays, including pepper spray or mace
Any item that can be used as a functional weapon
Permitted Cosplay Props
The following cosplay props are generally permitted:
Foam weapons
Cardboard props
Plastic props that cannot reasonably function as a weapon
Resin props
3D-printed props
Prop firearms that are clearly non-functional and incapable of firing a projectile
Prop swords and similar items made from lightweight cosplay materials
Firearm Prop Requirements
All prop firearms must:
Be non-functional
Have no ammunition or projectiles
Be incapable of firing any object
Remain holstered or secured when not actively being used for photos
Comply with all directions given by V2C2 staff and security
Cosplay Weapons Check
All weapon props must be presented for inspection upon entry.
Items approved by security may receive a prop approval marker or tag. Removal or tampering with approval markers may result in reinspection.
Behavior Expectations
Regardless of construction material, cosplay weapons may not be:
Swung, brandished, or used in a threatening manner
Used to strike or make physical contact with other attendees
Used in any way that creates an unsafe environment
Final Determination
V2C2 staff and security personnel reserve the right to make the final determination regarding any prop or costume item. Guests may be asked to return prohibited items to their vehicle or leave the venue if they fail to comply with this policy.
By attending V2C2, guests agree to comply with all event safety policies and instructions from staff and security personnel.
